100 Bottle Phensedyl Seized from the Capital

Motijheel Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police DMP has arrested three drug dealers including a pickup-van, motorcycle and Phensedyl from Ramna Thana area of ​​the capital.

The arrested are Md. Jalal Uddin, Md. Kamrul Islam and Md. Al Moktadir alias Raihan. At that time, 100 bottles of Phensedyl and a pickup truck and a motorcycle used for transportation were recovered from their custody.

On Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at 5:50 pm, they raided the Holy Family Red Crescent Hospital near Ramna Police Station and arrested them.

Md Abdullah Al Mamun, the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, told DMP News for Illegal Weapons Recovery and Drug Control Team, who led the rescue operation, that some drug dealers were reportedly selling drugs in front of the emergency gate of Holy Family Red Crescent Hospital in Ramna Police Station. Police raided the place on the basis of such information. Jalal, Kamrul and Moktadir were arrested while trying to flee after sensing the presence of police.

Regarding the information obtained during the preliminary interrogation, he said that the arrested persons used to collect phensedyl from the border area of ​​Chapainawabganj district and sell it in different areas including Dhaka city.

A case has been registered against the arrested at Ramna police station, the police official said.
