13 killed as Russian shelling attack in Luhansk

At least 13 civilians have been killed in an attack by Russian troops in the eastern Ukrainian region of Luhansk. Twelve were killed in Severodonetsk and one in the Girsk area.

Russian troops have also advanced on the regional center of Luhansk and Lysychansk. International media news reported on Friday, May 20th in a report quoting the governor of Luhansk.

The governor of Luhansk, Serhiy Haidai, said in a telegram that 13 people had been killed in Russian military strikes in the Severodonetsk and Girsk areas on Thursday. In addition, more than 70 homes were destroyed in the Luhansk region by Russian forces. The destroyed houses are located in Zolote, Vrubivka and Rubizhne.
