In the last 24 hours, 20 people have died of coronavirus across the country, including the capital. Among them 12 are males and 8 are females. Of these, 17 died in government hospitals and 3 in private hospitals.

The death toll from the virus rose to 27,674.

16 thousand 925 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. 99 lakh 31 thousand 841 samples were tested so far to identify the patients infected with the coronavirus.

In the last 24 hours, 415 new patients were identified as infected. The total number of corona patients identified with this stood at 15 lakh, 61 thousand 878 people. In the last 24 hours, the corona detection rate is 2.45 percent.

Since the first case of the corona was diagnosed in the country on March 8 last year, the rate of identification on the basis of the total sample test till today October 9 is 15.73 percent.

This information was given in the press release signed by Additional Director General of the Department of Health (Administration) Professor Nasima Sultana on Saturday, October 9.

At this time 543 people have recovered. With this, the number of patients who recovered after being infected with coronavirus in the country stood at 15 lakh, 23 thousand 134 people.
