21 lakh vaccines will come at the beginning of May: Health DG

At the beginning of May, another 21 lakh vaccines for coronavirus are coming to Bangladesh, said the Director General of the Department of Health, Prof. Dr. Abul Bashar Mohammad Khurshid Alam.

Professor Abul Bashar Khurshid Alam said, ‘Beximco Pharmaceuticals will bring 20 lakh vaccines of Oxford-AstraZeneca out of 21 lakh vaccines. The remaining 100,000 vaccines are from COVAX, produced by Pfizer, ”he said, adding that China is giving Bangladesh 500,000 doses of Sinopharm coronavirus vaccine as a gift to Bangladesh.

Khurshid Alam further said, China will give five lakh vaccines made by Sinopharm as a gift to Bangladesh.
