264 Bangladeshis rescued
264 Bangladeshis have been rescued from floating conditions in the Mediterranean. The International Organization for Migration (IOM) confirmed this matter on Thursday that they had been rescued off the coast of Tunisia quoting international news agency AFP.

According to the Tunisian Coast Guard, 264 Bangladeshis and three Egyptians, a total of 267 immigrants, were trying to enter Europe illegally from Libya in a boat. But when the boat broke down in the middle of the sea, they were in danger.

Tunisia's navy then helped the migrants arrive in the southern port of Ben Gardane. They were later handed over to the IOM and the Red Crescent.

The IOM said the rescued migrants were being quarantined at a hotel on the Tunisian island of Djerba.
