43 migrants missing including Bangladeshis in boat sinking in Mediterranean. 84 people have been rescued. The Tunisian Red Crescent says the boat was carrying migrants from Bangladesh, Egypt, Sudan and Eritrea.

The Tunisian Red Crescent reported on Saturday, July 03, local time, that migrants had started their journey by boat from Juara on Libya's northwest coast. There have been several shipwrecks off the coast of Tunisia in recent months. The flow of migrants to Europe is increasing across Tunisia and Libya.

Red Crescent official Mangi Slim said the navy had rescued 84 migrants.

Thousands of migrants from Africa and the Middle East have recently crossed the Mediterranean due to poverty. The destination of most of these immigrants is Italy. In 2021, the rate of migration has increased again.

Italy's interior ministry says about 19,800 migrants have arrived in the country since the beginning of the year. At the same time last year, 6,700 migrants arrived in Italy.
