58 arrested from different areas of capital
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 58 people in raids in different areas of the capital.
The men were arrested between Monday morning and Tuesday morning. DMP's media and public relations department has given this information.
Police said 488 grams of heroin, 9 kg of cannabis, 2,225 yaba pills and 1 gram of ice were recovered from the arrested accused. Under the Narcotics Control Act, 43 cases have been registered against these accused in different police stations of the capital.
Police said that as part of regular anti-drug operations, raids were carried out in different police stations in the capital and the accused were arrested.
