Six people have died after inhaling toxic gas emanating from a drain where chemicals were being allegedly dumped in Gujarat’s Surat. The incident occurred near a printing mill near the GIDC Rajkamal intersection.

Over 25 people were affected by the incident. The incident occurred when a tanker dumped noxious chemicals in the nearby drain.

Among the dead are five men and a woman.

According to Sanjay Patel, the production manager of the Printing Mill, a chemical tanker was standing outside the mill. It was dumping chemicals in the nearby drain using a pipe.

Suddenly, the workers could smell the toxic gases. Soon, they started falling to the ground before anyone could understand what was happening.
