87 arrested in Anti-Drug Operations

Dhaka Metropolitan Police DMP has arrested 87 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs while conducting anti-drug operations in different areas of the capital.

During the arrest (87), 2867 pieces of yaba, 121 kg, 745 gm, (60 puria) marijuana, 123 grams (105 puria) heroin, 3 bottles of Phensedyl and 10 narcotic injections were recovered from their custody.

As part of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police's regular anti-drug drive, they raided various police stations in the capital on Wednesday, May 19, 2022, from 6 am to 6 am today and seized drugs.

A total of 69 cases have been registered against the arrested persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
