Sudanese PM Abdallah Hamdok under house arrest

Sudanese Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdok has been "under house arrest" after a raid on his home.
Al Jazeera quoted Al Hadath TV as saying that he was placed under house arrest on Monday morning.
Earlier, the Sudanese military arrested a number of civilian officials, including Abdallah Hamdok's media adviser and a member of the country's ruling Sovereign Council.
The fall of former leader Omar al-Bashir last month sparked tensions between the military and civilian factions over power-sharing.
Al-Bashir was ousted in 2019 after months of protests. In the wake of this incident, the country is scheduled to hold elections in late 2023 as part of a political transformation.
