all out lockdown in Malaysia
According to an earlier announcement by Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, an all-out lockdown will take effect in Malaysia from Tuesday, June 01. The Prime Minister officially announced the lockdown last Friday due to the recent record-breaking corona patient identification in the country.

According to Muhyiddin's announcement, a strict lockdown on all socio-economic activities will remain in force from June 01 to June 14. Only emergency services and economic activities will continue. This list was compiled by the National Security Council.

The spread of corona in the Southeast Asian country has been growing at an alarming rate in recent weeks. Especially due to the highly contagious type of corona. Most of the victims are young and old. There has also been a crisis in hospitals.

According to the government's decision, if the two-week lockdown can be curbed, some sectors will be activated for the next four weeks after the lockdown. After the end of these four weeks, all economic and business activities will continue as before.

The Malaysian prime minister said, "The recent increase in the number of daily infections has raised fears that the situation could escalate further. This is limiting the healthcare capacity of Covid hospitals across the country; Which is a matter of great concern."

Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin also said that the country's economic activities would come to a standstill due to the overall lockdown. As a result, the government has already announced a relief program for the affected businesses and people.

Corona vaccination program has started in Malaysia. Critics say there is no speed in vaccination. As of last Thursday, only 1.7 million people in the country had received at least one dose of the vaccine. There are no signs that the pace of vaccination will increase in the future.

Corona has already killed nearly 2,800 people in Malaysia, the worst disaster in Southeast Asia. More than 40 percent of the total deaths occurred in May. Over the past week, the total number of infected has exceeded 5 lakh 70 thousand after the record daily attacks.
