Anti-drug operation in the capital, arrested 52

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Crime and Intelligence Division have arrested 52 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs in anti-drug operations in different areas of the capital. During the time, they have seized several drugs, including the dangerous drug Ice (Crystal Meth).
The Dhaka Metropolitan Police conducted raids in different parts of the capital from 6 am on Friday, March 18 to 6 am on Saturday, March 19 as part of regular anti-drug operations.
DMP Deputy Commissioner of Media and Public Relations Farooq Hossain gave this information on Saturday.
He said 1,823 pieces of Yaba, 131 grams (50 Puria) of heroin, 15 kg 736 grams of cannabis, 360 bottles of Phensedyl, 95 injections, 18 cans of beer, and 5 grams of ice were seized from them during the arrest.
The police official also said that 33 cases have been registered against the arrested persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
