Armed Forces Day
On the occasion of Armed Forces Day-2021, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid homage to the martyred members of the Bangladesh Armed Forces. On Sunday, November 21 morning, she paid her respects by laying a wreath at Dhaka Cantonment.

After handing over the wreath, she stood in silence for a while paying deep respects to the memory of the martyrs of the Armed Forces who sacrificed their lives in the war of liberation. A smart contingent of the Army, Navy, and Air Force awarded her the Guard of Honor. At that time a sad tune was played on the bugle.

Later, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who is in charge of the Ministry of Defense, signed the visitor's book at Shikha Anirban premises.

Prime Minister's Security Adviser Major General (Retd.) Tareq Ahmed Siddique was present on the occasion.

Earlier, when the Prime Minister reached Shikha Anirban, Chief of Army Staff General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M Shaheen Iqbal, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sheikh Abdul Hannan, and Principal Staff Officer (PSO) of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Waqar-Waz welcomed her.

After handing over the wreath, the Prime Minister visited the Armed Forces Department (AFD). The chiefs of the three armies met her courtesy. When Sheikh Hasina arrived at AFD, she was welcomed by the Director-General of PSO and AFD.
