Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) detective Gulshan Division has arrested two drug dealers including Yaba from the Shahjahanpur area of ​​the capital. The names of those arrested are Md. Abul Kalam Azad and Md. Ayash Uddin.

Detective Gulshan Zonal Team arrested them along with Yaba from the Titipara area of ​​Shahjahanpur Police Station on Monday.

Mahbubul Haque Sajib, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Gulshan Division, told that during a special operation in the metropolitan area on Monday, information came that some drug dealers were stationed in the Titipara Sweeper Colony area of ​​Shahjahanpur Police Station to buy and sell Yaba. The police raided the place on the basis of such information. Azad and Ayasha were arrested along with 2,000 pieces of Yaba while fleeing after sensing the presence of police.

Regarding the information obtained during the preliminary interrogation, the intelligence officer said that the arrested persons used to collect Yaba from the border area of ​​Teknaf police station in Cox's Bazar district and sell it in different areas of Dhaka metropolis.

A case has been registered against the arrested under the Narcotics Control Act at Shahjahanpur police station, the detective said.

The operation was carried out under the direction and overall supervision of Mashiur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Gulshan Division, BPM (Bar), PPM, and Mahbubul Haque Sajib, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Gulshan Zonal Team.
