49 Arrested in Anti-Drug Opeations
The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 49 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs while conducting anti-drug operations in different areas of the capital.
During the arrest, 10,629 pieces of yaba, 120 grams, (15 puria) heroin, 24 kg, 200 grams of cannabis and 22 bottles of Phensedyl were recovered from their custody.
As part of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police's regular anti-drug drive, they raided various police stations in the capital from 6 am on Friday, April 15, 2022, to 6 am today and recovered drugs.
A total of 33 cases have been registered against the arrested persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
