59 Arrested in Anti-Drug Operations
Dhaka Metropolitan Police DMP has arrested 59 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs while conducting anti-drug operations in different areas of the capital.
During the arrest, 2458 pieces of yaba, 28 kg 382 gm of cannabis, 63 gm (10 puria) heroin and 8 bottles of phencidyl were recovered from their custody.
As part of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police's regular anti-drug drive, they raided various police stations in the capital on Saturday (April 16, 2022) from 6 am to 6 am today, (April 17, 2022) and recovered drugs.
Forty cases have been filed against the arrested under the Narcotics Control Act.
