48 Arrested in Anti-Drug Operations
Dhaka Metropolitan Police DMP has arrested 48 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs while conducting anti-drug operations in different areas of the capital.
During the arrest, 1061 pieces of yaba, 55 kg 930 grams of cannabis, 60 grams of heroin and 45000 tapentadol tablets were recovered from their custody.
As part of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police's regular anti-drug drive, they raided various police stations in the capital from 6 am on Friday (April 22, 2022) to 6 am on Saturday, April 23, 2022, and recovered drugs.
A total of 36 cases have been registered against the arrested persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
