32 Arrested in Anti-Drug Operations
Dhaka Metropolitan Police DMP has arrested 32 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs while conducting anti-drug operations in different areas of the capital.
During the arrest, 11,255 pieces of yaba, 7 kg of cannabis, 22 grams of (26 puria) heroin, 40 liters of local alcohol and 8.8 liters of phensedyl were recovered from their custody.
As part of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police's regular anti-drug drive, they raided various police stations in the capital from 6 am on Monday, April 25, 2022, to 6 am today and recovered drugs.
A total of 26 cases have been registered against the arrested persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
