Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has called on the BNP to stop the war of words and take part in the war of votes.

He said, "Elections will be held in Bangladesh in the same way as elections are held in other countries of the world." There is no point in criticizing, be prepared for the election. There will be free and fair elections in Bangladesh. Let's fight the election by stopping the war of criticism and words.

He was speaking at a function at the Awami League's central office on Bangabandhu Avenue on Saturday, April 16 morning.

Complaining that the top leaders of the BNP are behaving in a double standard toward democracy, the general secretary of the AL said, "The people of Bangladesh have not forgotten what the BNP has done under the guise of multi-party politics." BNP's multi-party democracy was a multi-party joke.

Noting that the Awami League does not believe in the democracy of jokes, he said, "The source of strength of the AL is the people. The BNP is unimportant today because it has lost the trust of the people. '

Obaidul Quader said, the way the AL has taken the country forward, no one else has been able to do it. The BNP leaders only know how to criticize, development is not in their eyes.

He said, "There is no point in listening to the criticism of BNP leaders. Compare the situation of Bangladesh with the situation of Pakistan-Sri Lanka, the people of the country are good. Not a single penny was borrowed from anyone for the construction of the Padma Bridge. The construction of Padma bridge has been done 100% corruption-free."
