Awami League roots
Awami League General Secretary Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said,  Awami League roots are very deep. The source of power of the Awami League is the people of the country, not the barrel of a gun.

He said Sheikh Hasina and Awami League have taken a place in the hearts of the people as a party of land and people.

Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader said this while addressing the inaugural function of the Institute of Diploma Engineers' Conference at Kakrail in the capital on Saturday.

At that time, he joined the program through video conference from the government residence.

Obaidul Quader said the Awami League has been by the side of the people in every disaster and crisis of the country for the last 60 years. So those who think that the position of Awami League is like a house of cards, they are living in a fool's paradise. The Awami League is not a house of cards that will fall if tapped.

Addressing the engineers, the bridge minister said engineers should play a strong role in implementing the government's master plan to achieve the goal of a prosperous Bangladesh by 2041. You have to advance the development plan of the government with your own talent and labor as well as strive against any irregularities, corruption and waste.

He said that according to experts, a second wave of corona may appear in Bangladesh in the coming winter, so caution should be exercised from now on. Masks must be worn compulsorily.
