Ambulance oxygen cylinder explodes in Bagerhat

Three people, including the driver, were burnt when an ambulance oxygen cylinder exploded in Sharankhola Upazila of Bagerhat.

The incident took place at Rayenda Bazar Ferry Ghat area of ​​the Upazila on Friday night.

The injured were identified as ambulance driver Mamun and his assistants Milon and Shimul.

The injured were rescued and taken to Sharankhola Upazila Health Complex. Later, when the condition deteriorated, they were sent to the burn unit of Khulna Medical College Hospital.

The driver of the ambulance Mamun said that he took an oxygen cylinder in an ambulance to Rayenda Bazar Ferry Ghat area for a patient suffering from shortness of breath named Nurul Islam Mir. When it reached the front of the patient's house, it exploded.

Sharankhola Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Farida Yasmin said that 3 burn victims have been given first aid.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sharankhola Police Station Saidur Rahman confirmed the incident.
