Hanging body recovered from residential hotel in Bandarban

The hanging body of a Cumilla timber trader has been recovered from a residential hotel in Bandarban town. Police recovered the body from room number 202 of a residential hotel near Sangu Bridge in the city on Saturday, March 13 in the morning. He was later sent to the morgue of Sadar Hospital for autopsy.

The deceased was identified as Fakhrul Islam, 27, son of Golam Hossain of Krishnapur village in Cumilla's Laksam upazila.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Bandarban Sadar Police Station Shahidul Islam Chowdhury said, "Initially, the businessman seems to have committed suicide.

However, the main reason will be known after receiving the autopsy report. A case of unnatural death is being prepared at the police station in this regard."

According to the police, businessman Fakhrul came to Bandarban from Cumilla on February 27.
