"The poison of communalism is still spreading in Bangladesh"

Obaidul Quader, General Secretary of the Awami League and Minister for Road Transport and Bridges has called for continuing the fight under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina to save the nation from the poison of communalism.

He made the call after paying homage at the tomb of Sher-e-Bangla AK Fazlul Haque on the occasion of his death anniversary on Wednesday, April 27th, morning.

Earlier, Obaidul Quader paid homage on behalf of the Awami League with flowers at the tomb of Sher-e-Bangla at Dhaka University. Other central leaders of the Awami League were present at the time.

Describing Sher-e-Bangla AK Fazlul Haque as a non-communal humanitarian leader, Obaidul Quader said, "Everyone must move forward in the belief of building a non-communal Bangladesh under the leadership of Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina."

After the Central Awami League paid its respects to Sher-e-Bangla, various allied organizations of the party including Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League and others paid their respects.
