'Bangladesh has ability to win'

Staff Correspondent
The Bangladesh cricket team has flown to Sri Lanka to play a two-match Test series. The Tigers have zero points in the Test Championship after losing all their matches against India, Pakistan and the West Indies. However, the team is optimistic about the victory against Sri Lanka.

The Bangladesh team started its journey to Colombo on a chartered flight of Bangladesh Biman at 12:30 pm today. Before the start of the journey, Khaled Mahmud Sujon, the team leader of the Bangladesh team, met the media at the airport. He believes that the Bangladesh team has the ability to win in Sri Lanka.

Sujon mentioned the known condition and good wicket as the reason behind this. Bangladesh drew a Test in the 2013 tour of Sri Lanka. Later in 2016, they got the taste of winning the first Test against Sri Lanka in their 100th Test.

Sujon hopes to win again by maintaining continuity. However, the Bangladesh team leader has also kept in mind the last series against the West Indies at home. He does not want to repeat the same mistake.

"Of course we want to win," said Sujon.

"We want to play the best cricket there. The team that plays well will win. The five-day game will have to proceed session by session for this reason."
