Body of a DU student recovered in Azimpur

Body of a DU student
The body of a student of Dhaka University (DU) has been recovered from Azimpur Staff Quarters in the capital. Israt Jahan Tusti, 21, a second-year English student, was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital at around 9am on Sunday, june 06. The on duty doctor there declared her dead.

Her death was confirmed by Dhaka University Proctor Prof. AKM Golam Rabbani.

Proctor said, "The body of one of our students was recovered from Azimpur staff quarters on Sunday, june 06 in the morning. The bathroom door was found closed after her room door was opened in the morning. After informing the fire service, they broke the door and rescued her. We are waiting for the medical report, trying to find out the cause of death."

A friend of Tusti's, who is studying in the same department, said that Israt Jahan lived in a room on the ground floor of Building No. 16 of Government Staff Quarters Unit-2 in Azimpur.

Israt Jahan Tusti's house is in Atpara upazila of Netrokona.

She lived in Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib hall of DU at 422 number room. As the hall was closed, she used to stay sublet in Azimpur Government Staff Quarters.
