Two motorcyclists killed in Chapainawabganj

Two motorcyclists were killed when a truck hit them at Rashiknagar Babu intersection in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj on Tuesday, February 23 in the afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Hamid, 24, son of Salekuzzaman of Kalupur Dakshinpara in Durlavpur union of Shibganj and Abdur Rahim, 28, son of Rashed Ali.
Shibganj Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Farid Hossain said Hamid and Rahim were going to Chapainawabganj on a motorcycle around 12:30 pm. As they approached Rashiknagar Babu junction in Ranihati area, a speeding truck heading towards Sonamasjid land port hit them. Two people were killed on the spot. Upon receiving the news, the police reached the spot and recovered the bodies of the two.
Police arrested the truck and its driver after the accident, OC Farid said.
