Chief of Army Staff in India on three-day visit

Bangladesh Army Chief General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed left Dhaka on a three-day official visit to India on Saturday morning on a Bangladesh Air Force plane.

A press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said this on Saturday.

During the visit, an eight-member delegation of the Bangladesh Army will be led by Army Chief General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed.

During the visit, the Chief of Army Staff will meet India's National Defense Adviser, Chief of Defense Staff, Chief of Army Staff, Chief of Naval Staff, Chief of Air Staff, Secretary of Defense, and other senior military officials.

During the meeting, General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed will discuss bilateral relations and mutual cooperation between the armies of the two countries. During the visit, he will visit various military installations and National Defense Colleges in India.

During the visit, General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed will pay a courtesy call on the Bangladesh High Commissioner to India. After the visit, the army chief will return to the country on September 8.
