Bangladesh is getting Oxford vaccine under COVAX

Bangladesh is getting 1 crore 27 lakh 92 thousand doses of coronavirus vaccine from Oxford under COVAX. The vaccine is likely to be available in the next five months, until June.

Earlier on Wednesday, COVAX released a list of vaccine distributions in different countries. There is information that Bangladesh has received 1 crore 27 lakh 92 thousand doses of Covid-19 vaccine.

According to the World Health Organization's website, the vaccine is expected to arrive in late February.

According to the published data, by the end of June, Bangladesh is going to get 1 crore 27 lakh 92 thousand doses of Covid-19 vaccine. In addition, various countries including India 9 crore 72 lakh, Pakistan 1 crore 72 lakh, Nigeria 1 crore 6 lakh, Indonesia 1 crore 37 lakh and Brazil 1 crore 6 lakh will receive different amounts of vaccines under COVAX.

COVAX is a platform developed by the World Health Organization, the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunizations (GAVI) and the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations to ensure that all people in the world have access to vaccines against infectious diseases.
