Covid19: Bangladesh reports zero deaths for the 3rd day

Nobody has died of coronavirus in the last 24 hours across the country. This is the third day in a row that Bangladesh has seen a demise in Corona. Earlier, on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 15 and 16, Bangladesh reports zero deaths in Corona. Subsequently, there are 29,112 deaths in the country.

Notwithstanding, in the last 24 hours, 233 new patients infected with the virus have been identified. With this, the total number of identified patients in the country stood at 19 lakh 50 thousand 356 people. In contrast to the sample test, the detection rate in 24 hours is 1.69 percent.

This data was given in the regular press release of the Corona situation of the health department on Thursday (March 18).

Earlier on Wednesday (March 18), the Department of Health had identified 172 new patients in 24 hours. In contrast to the sample test, the daily detection rate was 1.38 percent. However, no one was killed on the day, the department said.

As indicated by the Department of Health, 14,152 samples were collected and 13,791 samples were tested in 8 laboratories across the country in 24 hours. An aggregate of one crore 36 lakh 92 thousand 423 samples have been tested in the country. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the detection rate has been 14.24 percent contrasted to the sample test.

In the meantime, 1,561 people have recovered from Corona in one day. With this, 16 lakh 6 thousand 161 people have recovered in the country so far.

On March 7, 2020, the first corona-infected patient was identified in the country. Ten days later, on March 18, the first death was reported by the Department of Health.
