curfew in Argentina
Argentine President Alberto Fernandez has announced a three-week curfew from Wednesday due to an increase in corona infections. He made the announcement after a record number of infections in Corona for two consecutive days.

In a message, he said the curfew would take effect from next Friday and would remain in effect from midnight until 6 am every day until April 30, AFP reported.

He is in self-isolation after being infected with the virus. The president said the curfew would be enforced in Argentina's most high-risk areas, especially in the central region. Bars and restaurants must close by 11 pm.

Argentina's health minister said on Wednesday morning that 22,039 people had been newly infected with corona in the past 24 hours. The day before, 20,870 people were infected with the virus. This resulted in a record of two consecutive corona infections.

More than 13,500 people have recently been infected with corona in the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires.
