Dani Alves in Brazil's Olympics squad

Dani Alves has been named in Brazil's squad for the Tokyo Olympic football event. Brazil Olympic football coach André Jardine has announced the squad with the help of this experienced defender.

The Olympics were scheduled to take place in Tokyo, Japan last year. It will start on July 23 due to coronavirus. It will end on August 8.

In a football event with an under-23 team, each team can carry three overage players players. Alves, Diego Carlos and Santos have been named in the Brazil squad for this quota.

Brazil won the gold medal at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic by defeating Germany. The team kept Alves, who has had success everywhere in his national team and club career, on a mission to hold the crown. The defender turned 38 last May.

Alves is unable to play in the current Copa America due to injury. In 2019, Brazil won the title of the competition under his leadership.
