Medvedev reclaimed the world number two spot in ATP rankings

Russian star Daniil Medvedev has overtaken Rafael Nadal to take second place in the ATP world rankings. There are no US players in the top 30 in this first ranking.

According to the ATP Tour, Spanish star Nadal recently lost to Alexander Zverev in the quarter-finals of the Madrid Open. Later, German star Zverev became the champion. Zverev, who has won his first Masters title in three years, holds sixth place in the rankings.

This is the first time since the introduction of the ATP rankings in 1983 that there are no US players in the top 30. Taylor Fritz has been confirmed 31st in the list.

At the Madrid Open, runner-up Italian Matteo Berrettini climbed one step to secure ninth place.
