The Bangladesh Awami League has warned to form a strong resistance along with mass people if the BNP chooses a destructive path in the name of movement.

Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader issued such a warning in a statement on Monday in the wake of the announcement by the BNP secretary general that the BNP would emerge as a strong opposition party in a short time.

Obaidul Quader said, "Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir's recent announcement of the BNP as a strong opposition party has proved once again that their powerlessness, weakness, incapacity and poverty have been brutally manifested."

Obaidul Quader further said, "The BNP secretary general himself has admitted that the BNP is practically a powerless and insignificant political party in the parliament."
