20-km traffic jam on Dhaka-Tangail highway

Due to the pressure of vehicles, vehicles are moving at a slow speed in the area of ​​20 km on Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu highway.

A slow speed was observed in the area of ​​20 km from the east side of Bangabandhu Bridge to Rabna in Tangail from dawn on Sunday, August 01.People returning to work in the capital are suffering severely.

However, there is no traffic jam in Dhaka-bound lane even though there is traffic jam in North Bengal-bound lane.

It can be seen at first hand that there is a long pressure of vehicles heading towards Dhaka at Rabna, Bethair, Bikramhati, Rasulpur, Pungli and Elenga on the highway. People are returning to work in different vehicles including open trucks, pickups and motorcycles.

No one was seen obeying social distance and hygiene. No action was taken by the police to ensure hygiene.
