3 killed in Dhamrai road accident

A mother and her two sons were killed in a head-on collision between a CNG and a private car on Dhamrai Dhantara Road in Dhaka. The accident took place near Dhulivita Mumtaz Diabetes Hospital on Dhantara Road around 9:30 pm on Friday night.

The deceased were identified as Piara Begum, 45, wife of Nasir Uddin of Bhararia village in Dhamrai, her two sons Nasib Khan, 23, and Chhotan Khan, 18.

It is learned that they were going to the Hospital by CNG.

According to the locals, Piara Begum took her two sons to Dhulivita by CNG from her home to go to a relative's house. As they crossed the Dhulivita Mumtaz Diabetes Hospital, a CNG collided head-on with a private car coming from the opposite direction. They were seriously injured at the time.

After rescuing them and taking them to Dhamrai Upazila Health Complex, the doctor on duty declared Chhotan Khan dead. The seriously injured Pierre Begum and her other son Naseeb Khan were referred to Dhaka. Later they also died on the way to Dhaka.

Sayla Shameen Jesse, a doctor in charge of the emergency department of Dhamrai Upazila Health Complex, confirmed the matter.
