85 arrested in DMP anti-drug drive

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 85 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs in anti-drug operations in different parts of the capital.
They were arrested during raids in different police stations in the capital from 6 am on Friday, November 19 to 6 am on Saturday, November 20 as part of the DMP's regular anti-drug drive.
During this time 4,193 pieces of Yaba, 623 grams of heroin, 17 kg 131 grams of cannabis, and 17 bottles of Phensedyl were seized from their custody.
According to the DMP, 71 cases have been registered against the arrested persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
