54 arrested in DMP's anti-narcotics drive

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Crime and Intelligence Division has arrested 54 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs in anti-drug operations in different areas of the capital.

A large quantity of drugs has been seized from those arrested and 37 cases have been registered against them in different police stations.

This information was confirmed by the Media and Public Relations Department of DMP on Monday morning.

According to the DMP, as part of the DMP's regular anti-drug drive, they were arrested in raids in different parts of the capital on Sunday, March 6 from 6 am to 6 am today.

20,921 pieces of Yaba, 77.5 gram 40 Puria heroin, 3 kg 875-gram cannabis, and 68 bottles of phensedyl were seized from them.
