Drugs Seized worth Tk 25 Million
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested a drug dealer named Monir Hossain alias Sourav (34) from Keraniganj in Dhaka district with 500 grams of dangerous drug 'Ice' worth Tk 25 Million
Sunday, April 17th RAB-2 Assistant Director Media ASP. Fazlul Haque has confirmed this information.
Mohammad Fazlul Haque said that a team of RAB-2 conducted a raid in Kadamtala area of Keraniganj on Saturday night on the basis of secret information. At that time, some drug dealers were stationed at the site to sell ice. Later, Saurabh was apprehended along with a bag while fleeing after being apprehended by RAB-2. Later, 500 grams of ice was seized from the bag. The estimated market value of the seized ice is Tk 25 million.
During the preliminary interrogation, the detainee said that for a long time, he used to bring ice from the border area of Teknaf and sell it at high prices to local agents in different parts of the capital.
RAB official also said that a case has been filed against the detainee under the Narcotics Control Act at the concerned police station.
