Fire not been brought under control yet

The fire broke out at the container depot at Sitakunda in Chattogram, 33 hours after the blaze the fire has not been brought under control yet.

The death toll has now risen to 50. Of the dead, 24 have been identified so far and 21 have been handed over to their families.

Meanwhile, more than 200 people were burnt and injured in a fire that broke out at the BM Container Depot in Chattogram's Sitakunda shortly after 8 pm on Saturday, June 04.

At least 21 firefighters were injured in the blaze and 15 policemen, including a police constable, were injured in the incident.

The environment of Chittagong Medical College Hospital has become heavy due to the cries of the injured. The whole hospital was heavy with screams, cries, and wailing. Blood is required for the wounded people. Voluntary organizations have called for blood donation to come forward with the help of the burn victims.
