Folk fest is not happening this year either

The sixth edition of 'Dhaka International Folk Fest', Asia's largest folk music program, will not be held this year.
Ajoy Kundu, COO (Chief Operating Officer) of the organizing body Mediacom Limited, confirmed the matter on Monday evening that this year's event has been postponed due to coronavirus.
"We are not organizing because of Corona," he said.
"It doesn't just depend on us, there are many other things. It's not happening this year, that's for sure."
The event was also postponed last year due to corona coronavirus. The last time the audience was mesmerized by the melody of folk music at the Army Stadium in the capital in 2019.
In 2015, for the first time, Dhaka International Folk Fest was organized by Square Toiletries Limited and Sun Foundation with more than 100 artists from five countries. All the popular folk artists from different countries of the world took part in this event. Millions of spectators enjoy the festival for free.
