10 kg gold seized at Shahjalal

A team of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Department has recovered 90 gold bars weighing about 10 and a half kg from inside an aircraft at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

The gold was seized from a Bangladesh Biman flight from Dubai on Thursday, February 24 morning. Its market value is about 7 crore taka.

Customs Detective Assistant Revenue Officer Shafiqul Islam confirmed the matter. He also said that details will be given in this regard.

According to customs intelligence sources, the customs detectives recovered 90 gold bars worth about Tk 7 crore from a flight of Bangladesh Biman returning to Dubai from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the morning.
