2 more Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrims die in Saudi Arabia

Two more Bangladeshi pilgrims have died in Saudi Arabia. Both died in Medina on Tuesday. So far, the death toll of Bangladeshi pilgrims has risen to six.


This information has been given in the daily bulletin of Hajj of the IT helpdesk of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Md Abdul Jalil Khan, 62, of Pirgachha in Rangpur, who was traveling to Saudi Arabia under private management, died on Tuesday night while entering Reazul Jannah near Gate No. 38 of the Al-Masjid an-Nabawi in Medina. His passport number is BX0552614.

The other deceased was identified as Beauty Begum, 47, of Kotwali, Dhaka. She went to Saudi Arabia under the private management of Hajj pilgrims. Her passport number is EA0009584. Beauty Begum died at King Fahad Hospital in Medina on Tuesday morning, local time.

Meanwhile, a total of 28,309 pilgrims reached Saudi Arabia from Bangladesh so far to perform Holly Hajj this year, according to the bulletin.
