"The heavy rain warning issued on Wednesday may not be the same today," he said. But there will be heavy rain. '

The meteorologist said that the warning signal No. 3 issued at the seaports on Wednesday would remain in force on Thursday as well. "There are variations in air pressure in the North Bay," he said. With this, thunderstorms continue to form. Winds can blow over seaports, the Bay of Bengal and nearby coastal areas of Bangladesh. That is why Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra seaports have been asked to display permanent warning signal number 3.

Nazmul Haque also said that fishing boats and trawlers stationed in the North Bay have been asked to proceed cautiously from near the coast until further notice.

It rained in all sections from 6am on Wednesday to 6am on Thursday. The highest rainfall was recorded in Kutubdia at 110 mm. 5 mm rainfall has been recorded in Dhaka.

The weather forecast for the next 24 hours from 9 am on Thursday said that most parts of Khulna, Barisal and Chattogram divisions and many places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions may experience light to moderate rain or thundershowers with temporary gusts. At the same time, there may be moderate to heavy (44 to 88 mm) to very heavy (more than 89 mm) rain in some parts of the country.

The day and night temperatures may drop slightly at this time, the forecast said.
