The attack of Coronavirus has already had a devastating effect on the ongoing Ashes series. It is learned that Sir Ian Botham was infected by Corona while serving as a commentator on the ongoing Ashes Series.

BT Sport commentator David Gower confirmed the news to the media on Thursday.

During the Boxing Day Test in December, Sir Ian Botham, former Australian captain Ricky Ponting, and presenter Mel McLaughlin acted as commentators on the ongoing Ashes for Channel Seven.

As McLaughlin tested positive for corona, Co-commentator Sir Ian Botham and Ricky Ponting were also sent for the PCR test. Sir Ian Botham's corona was caught on examination. However, his current condition was not disclosed.

Prior to the Boxing Day Test, however, Channel 7 authorities claimed that they would provide health protection to all staff on the Ashes broadcasting team to prevent Corona.
