Fourth wave of corona in Iran

A 10-day lockdown has been imposed in Iran to deal with the fourth wave of the epidemic. The announcement came from the presidential office on Saturday, April 11.

The government has agreed to the proposal of the National Coronavirus Task Force. Under it, all parks, restaurants, beauty parlors, shopping malls and bookstores in 257 cities will be closed. Eighty-five percent of the country is divided into red and orange zone based on high incidence.

193 people have died in the country in 24 hours, about 20,000 new infections have been identified.

Iran is set to launch a vaccination program soon with shipments of 2 million vaccine doses provided by the World Health Organization.
