Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey steps down

Jack Dorsey, the co-founder of microblogging site Twitter, has stepped down as chief executive. This information has been reported in the British Broadcasting Corporation.

The current chief technical officer Pollen Agarwal will replace Jack Dorsey, according to Twitter.

Founded in 2006, Jack Dorsey runs Twitter as well as an online money transfer platform. He has got huge success in both businesses. The 45-year-old US technology entrepreneur has been the chief executive of both.

"It's time to quit and move on," Dorsey said in a statement. The company is ready to move forward.

"I have a lot of confidence in It," Dorsey said. Parag Agarwal joined Twitter in 2011 and has been the head of the company's technology department since 2017.

Going out of corporate etiquette, Dorsey walks in a different style of fashion with a long beard and nose ring. He eats once a day and does yoga regularly.

On Sunday, Jack Dorsey tweeted, "I love Twitter."

Dorsey then tweeted another, adding a screenshot of his resignation.

"I'm not sure if anyone heard, I resigned as Chief Executive Officer of Twitter," he wrote.

Jack Dorsey founded Twitter in 2006 with Biz Stone, Evan Williams, and Noah Glass. Dorsey seems to be more familiar with Twitter than anyone else.
