Police have arrested 17 Jamaat leaders and activists in Natore. They were arrested from the Harishpur area of ​​the city on Wednesday, May 19 in the morning.

A case has been filed against the detainees at Natore police station. However, Jamaat has claimed that police detained them during a protest rally against the genocide in Palestine.

Officer-in-charge (investigation) of Natore Sadar Police Station Abdul Matin said police conducted a raid in Baraharishpur area of ​​the city on the basis of secret information.

Jamaat leaders and activists were detained while holding an anti-state meeting at a house. The detainees later confessed to the secret meeting during interrogation.

Police have filed a case against the detainees for being involved in anti-state activities.
