The Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau came to power again. However, there were reports of heavy fighting in the 44th general election on Monday. According to The Guardian, Justin Trudeau called it a "clear mandate" in a statement following the news of the victory.

This time, Trudeau held elections two years ago to ensure a majority in parliament amid the Corona pandemic.

According to preliminary results, Justin Trudeau's Liberal Party is leading with 156 seats. In order to form a government alone, any party has to win at least 170 seats. Opposition leader Erin O'Toole's Conservative Party is 121 ahead.
