Controversy over Bible after Hijab in Karnataka

International Desk
A few days ago, the hijab debate caused a stir in the Indian state of Karnataka. Debate over religion has started again as soon as the riots broke out.

After the hijab, the debate over the Bible has started in Karnataka. A school in the state capital Bangalore recently instructed students, regardless of religion should bring a Bible to school; It is obligatory to obey this instruction.

The school authorities have also collected a bond from the parents in this regard.

The name of that school in Bangalore is Clarence School.

Meanwhile, controversy erupted after the school issued such guidelines. A section of parents have started a protest claiming that the school is interfering in the religious rights of the students.

With the help of a religious political party, they have decided to lodge a complaint with the state education department and go to court.

Clarence School authorities say the school believes in Christian values. Authorities are keen to teach students that value, so that students can thrive in that environment. Students are asked to bring Bibles for that purpose.

However, a representative of a pro-Hindu organization in Bangalore claimed that the school's move was a conspiracy to violate the religious rights of students of other religions.

Therefore, they have lodged a complaint against the school with the state government's education department. It is learned that the organization will also go to court over the matter.

A few months ago, the authorities of a college in Karnataka objected to the students wearing hijab.
