Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has directed special lockdown in seven border districts. The Prime Minister gave the directive at a cabinet meeting on Monday, May 31 in the morning, Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque said.

The health minister said the cabinet has been directed to take further steps to provide lockdown.

The minister said, 'Corona infection is increasing in the border districts, which is worrying. The Prime Minister has directed to give lockdown as soon as possible due to the rise in corona infection in these districts. The cabinet department is working on it. However, mango trade is going on in those districts now, so it is being monitored when it will be given.'

Besides, the health minister said that in case of vaccination in China, university students will be vaccinated on priority basis.
